Learning objectives

  • Set up academic structure before LMS and exams

1. Prerequisites

Confirm in /erp/academics:

  • Sessions, grades, sections, subjects
  • Timetable published for the term
  • Teachers assigned to sections (Teacher guide)

Without structure, LMS enrollments and exam rosters will be incomplete.

2. LMS hub

Route: /erp/academics/lms

Create course LMS → new course linked to grade/section
Add lessons Video, PDF, links, embedded content

Parent view Parent mobile when school publishes to portal

LMS complements Homework (/erp/academics/homework) — homework is lightweight assignments; LMS is structured courses.

3. Syllabus alignment

Route: /erp/academics/syllabus

Map syllabus units to LMS lessons so coordinators see coverage vs plan.

4. Online exams

Route: /erp/academics/online-exams

  1. Create exam — pick section, subjects, window (start/end).
  2. Add questions (MCQ, short answer per your template).
  3. Monitor attempts during the window.
  4. Publish marks → flows to Exams (/erp/academics/exams) and report cards.

For paper-based marks only, use /erp/academics/exams without online exams.

  1. Create one LMS course with three lessons for a demo section.

Troubleshooting

Students missing from roster — Verify enrollment in /erp/students and section assignment.

Online exam timer issues — Confirm school timezone under enterprise settings (IT admin).
